1. PhD Studentship – KEMRI CGHR Kisumu
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Kisumu
Field: Medical / Healthcare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate data collection for the economic evaluation in Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi
  • Perform costing analyses and develop economic models to assess financial sustainability
  • Compare cost-effectiveness of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) delivery platforms
  • Publish at least three peer-reviewed scientific papers as part of PhD requirements
  • Engage project stakeholders including policymakers, funders, and implementing partners

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen
  • Master’s degree in Health Economics or a related field
  • Experience in health economic evaluations, costing studies, or applied economic modeling
  • Knowledge of health systems in low- and middle-income countries
  • Experience in fieldwork coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong commitment to research and academia (must be demonstrated in personal statement)
  • Must be available for full-time engagement

2. Community Tracker – Kisumu (6 Positions)
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Kisumu
Field: Medical / Healthcare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HIV counseling and testing services to participants
  • Develop and review participant recruitment SOPs
  • Conduct outreach and manage participant referrals
  • Implement retention activities and maintain locator records
  • Prepare reports on recruitment and retention
  • Update the community diary

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Diploma in Community Health, Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, or Psychological Counseling
  • Certificate in HIV Testing Services (HTS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Good report-writing and proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
