Are you a young African changemaker passionate about transforming public policy, nutrition, health, or agriculture? The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill University is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort.

This prestigious, fully funded opportunity supports academically talented, community-driven individuals from Africa who wish to pursue a master’s degree in one of 11 eligible programs at McGill University in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be a citizen of and currently living in an African country
• Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application
• Hold a bachelor's degree in a field related to your program of choice
• Have never registered for or completed a master’s degree
• Demonstrate strong leadership, service, and a commitment to giving back
• Face financial barriers to education

Eligible Programs (Selected Fields):

• Non-Thesis: Public Policy, Public Health, Human Nutrition (Project), Biostatistics, Biotechnology, Food Safety, and more
• Thesis: Animal Science, Bioresource Engineering

Timeline:

• Applications Open: August 4, 2025
• Application Deadline: August 31, 2025
• Admission Stage: September to January
• Final Selection: February – March 2026
